AI = Death?

So does it make anyone else uneasy when Seacrest says "Stick around to see which contestants will be singing for their lives," on American Idol?

I always picture Randy, Simon, Paula and that new chick sacrificing some poor kid at an altar covered in pictures of Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson (who are, let's face it, the more successful winners...Ruben and Taylor who?) after a bad rendition of "Put Your Records On."

What a way to go.
